The Rotaract Club of KSSEM successfully organized the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration on 29th November 2024. The event was a grand success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the club members who worked tirelessly for five days to decorate the college and make the event memorable. Below are the highlights of the celebration: 1. Preparation and Decoration: • The club members dedicated 5 days to decorating the college campus, ensuring that every corner reflected the rich culture and traditions of Karnataka. • Colorful rangolis, floral decorations, and Kannada-themed posters were strategically placed around the campus to enhance the festive mood. 2. Flag Hoisting Ceremony: • The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, a symbolic moment to honor the state of Karnataka and its heritage. 3. Cultural Performances: • Yakshagana Performance: A traditional form of theatre unique to Karnataka, showcasing a mythological story with vibrant costumes and powerful performances. • Group Dance: A beautifully coordinated dance performance, representing Karnataka’s folk dances, which captivated the audience. • Group Singing: A soulful rendition of popular Kannada songs, celebrating the state’s music and culture. • Skit: A lighthearted skit with a message, adding humor while emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural traditions. 4. Thamte Dance: • The event concluded with a lively and energetic Thamte dance, a traditional Karnataka folk dance, performed with enthusiasm by the participants, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and joy.
