The Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Delhi South East, proudly organized Healing of Horcruxes 2.0: Hope, Help, and Healing on 4th December 2024. This event aimed to explore the profound journey of healing fractured souls, overcoming darkness, and restoring wholeness through the lens of mental health. The event offered an enlightening experience, emphasizing the importance of mental health and healing. The session, held on Google Meet from 8:00 PM onwards, focused on understanding the symbolism of horcruxes. These horcruxes represented fragmented parts of ourselves that require healing. By examining the concept of self-fragmentation, participants gained valuable insights into the power of love, redemption, and inner peace as essential elements in restoring wholeness. The esteemed speaker, Ms. Krishnakhi Baruah, a psychologist and rehabilitation counselor, guided the session with her expertise in mental health and emotional well-being. She provided in-depth knowledge about the importance of mental healing and shared strategies for dealing with emotional struggles in a positive way. Key topics discussed during the session included Understanding Healing, where the significance of addressing fractured aspects of the psyche was explored. The session also covered the Benefits of Counseling, emphasizing how professional guidance helps individuals manage emotional challenges and improve their mental health. A critical discussion was held on Suicide and Self-Harm, where participants learned to differentiate between self-harm and suicidal ideation. Common myths surrounding suicide, such as the misconception that individuals who die by suicide are weak, were debunked. The event encouraged active Participant Engagement, with attendees having the opportunity to converse with Ms. Baruah. This dialogue helped create a supportive environment where participants could discuss mental health challenges and share their experiences. Healing of Horcruxes 2.0 was a vital initiative in raising awareness about mental health and provided participants with essential tools to support themselves and others. It was a step toward building a compassionate community focused on healing.
