On December 10th, the Rotaract Club of Mount Carmel College (RaCMCC) and the Rotaract Club of Banashankari came together to organize Project FemCare, an impactful initiative addressing the critical health concerns surrounding Polycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD) and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). With the rising prevalence of these conditions among women, the project aimed to spread awareness, provide free medical consultations, and empower young women with the necessary knowledge and tools to manage their health effectively. The initiative featured interactive sessions led by healthcare professionals who shed light on the symptoms, causes, and management strategies for PCOD and PCOS. Attendees were educated about the importance of early diagnosis, lifestyle changes, and consistent medical care in managing these disorders. A dedicated health camp was set up, where over 180+ students received free health check-ups and consultations, enabling them to address their health concerns in a safe and supportive environment. Project FemCare emphasized breaking the stigma surrounding women's health issues by creating an open platform for dialogue and awareness. The event also included discussions on nutrition, exercise, and mental health, highlighting their role in managing hormonal imbalances effectively.
