On 14th December 2024, the Rotaract Club of KGF hosted Kisan Diwas – Farmers' Day, a heartfelt tribute to the farmers who sustain us all. The event, held amidst the serene beauty of Kolar Gold Fields, was a day dedicated to learning, bonding, and celebrating the farming lifestyle. The day began with a visit to a Dragon Fruit farm, where participants enjoyed a delicious breakfast before diving into hands-on farming activities. Together, we added manure to the crops and got a glimpse into the hard work and dedication that goes into farming. The farm owner shared valuable insights about dragon fruit farming and his journey in the business, leaving everyone inspired. Post a wholesome lunch, the fun continued with engaging games and challenges that brought out the spirit of camaraderie and joy. Our club had a proud moment as we were awarded the Highest Registration Club award, and to top it off, our very own Krithika shined as she won the Best Farmer award, showcasing her enthusiasm and commitment throughout the day. The event was a perfect blend of learning, laughter, and admiration for the farming community. It truly reminded us of the importance of farmers and their invaluable contributions to our lives.
