BRIEF DESCRIPTION: "Numbers & Smiles," a heartwarming initiative by Pentagram - The Mathematical Society of BMSCE, in collaboration with The Rotaract Club, aims to empower young minds through mathematics and holistic learning as part of iTeach Phase - 20. Volunteers are the bridge to brighter futures. EVENT DESCRIPTION: On 23rd December 2024, Pentagram - The Mathematical Society of BMSCE, joined hands with The Rotaract Club of BMSCE to host Numbers & Smiles, an inspiring outreach program under the iTeach Phase - 20 initiative. The event was conducted at 2 government schools from 1st to 7th Grade around BMSCE with the objective of providing quality education, specifically focused on mathematics, to young students.Volunteers led interactive sessions with engaging activities like math puzzles, logic games, and simplified lessons to spark curiosity and build confidence in numbers. Alongside academics, the sessions included motivational discussions to nurture a love for learning among children. Behind the scenes, the team worked tirelessly to identify participating schools, design customized lesson plans, and coordinate schedules to ensure smooth execution. Volunteers were trained to handle diverse learning paces and backgrounds. Organizers also emphasized inclusivity, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every child. SPECIAL HIGHLIGHTS: Interactive math sessions for students. Fun and engaging activities like puzzles and games. A motivational session on education’s importance.
