On the eighth day of the tour, members of the Rotaract Club of Marathahalli (RCM) and the Nepal Rotaract Club wrapped up their eventful day in Udupi with a meaningful beach cleanup drive at Malpe Beach. Later that night, they boarded a bus to their next destination—Coorg, a picturesque hill station known for its lush greenery and serene ambiance. The group arrived in Coorg early the next morning, greeted by the crisp mountain air and a tranquil atmosphere. They were warmly welcomed at the home of RCM President Rtr. Ashwini N., where they freshened up and prepared for a day of exploration. The day began with a leisurely morning walk through the foggy and chilled surroundings. The mist-covered hills, the sound of birds chirping, and the serene pathways made the walk a refreshing and peaceful experience, offering everyone a chance to connect with nature and rejuvenate their spirits. After the invigorating walk, the group enjoyed a delicious Coorg-style breakfast, savoring the unique flavors of local delicacies. Energized by the hearty meal, they set off to explore some of Coorg's most iconic attractions. The first stop was a Coffee Estate Tour, where the team got an immersive experience of the region's renowned coffee culture. They learned about the coffee-making process, from bean to cup, while strolling through the lush plantations. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee added a delightful sensory touch to the tour. Next, the group visited Raja’s Seat, a scenic viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of the valley and hills. The lush greenery and cool breeze made it a perfect spot for photography and quiet reflection. The day continued with a visit to the Omkareshwara Temple, an ancient temple that blends Islamic and Gothic architectural styles. The tranquil setting of the temple and its historical significance made it a memorable spiritual experience for the team. To conclude their exploration, the group indulged in Coorg’s homemade delights, including chocolates, spices, and freshly brewed coffee.
