The “AKSHAYA PATRA” volunteering event at Vaikunta Hills ISKCON was an enriching and impactful experience for the members of the Rotaract Club of RNSIT. The Akshaya Patra Foundation, known for its mission to eliminate hunger and promote education, runs one of the largest mid-day meal programs in India. By providing nutritious meals to millions of schoolchildren, it aims to improve attendance, retention, and the overall well-being of children across the country. The Rotaract Club's involvement at Vaikunta Hills ISKCON focused on supporting the foundation's efforts to prepare and distribute meals. The volunteers actively participated in various stages of the process, from kitchen assistance, packing meals, and organizing distribution efforts, to ensuring the smooth flow of operations. They also interacted with the team members at ISKCON, learning about the logistics and scale of operations involved in feeding thousands of children daily. In addition to the hands-on service, the event also provided Rotaract members with a deeper understanding of the Akshaya Patra Foundation’s impact.
