Rotaract Bangalore South Parade (RBSP) took part in Tarang, an initiative by District 3191 dedicated to government school students from grades 5 to 10. The event aimed to provide these students with a platform to compete, perform, and showcase their talents at an inter-school level—an opportunity often more accessible to private school students. The festival featured a diverse range of competitions, including solo and group dance, singing, quiz, drawing, science exhibition, mono acting, drama, spell bee, rangoli, and fancy dress. Over 700 students from across Bangalore participated, making it a vibrant and competitive event. RBSP encouraged students from Government Higher Primary School, Police Colony, to take part, successfully engaging 22 enthusiastic students from grades 5 to 7. The excitement and energy among the kids were infectious as they actively participated in various events. One of our students, Chiranjivee, made us proud by securing 2nd place in the solo singing competition. The experience was both eye-opening and inspiring for the students, as they witnessed the immense talent and spirit of competition around them. Teachers and students alike left with a renewed perspective on the importance of nurturing interests beyond academics.
