The Club service avenue and the Professional Development Avenue of the Rotaract Club of Jyoti Nivas College organized Femme Fiesta, a special session in honor of Women's Day. The session focused on celebrating the contributions of remarkable yet lesser-known women who have made significant impacts in various fields. Among them was Sarah Gilbert, the renowned vaccinologist behind the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, as well as a mathematician who contributed to modern and theoretical physics. These discussions shed light on the achievements of women whose work has shaped science and society but often remains underappreciated. In addition to highlighting these trailblazing women, the session incorporated engaging activities such as the This or That game, where participants made choices related to women’s issues and preferences. A series of thought-provoking questions encouraged discussions on various aspects of gender and societal roles. The interactive nature of the event fostered an open environment where participants shared their thoughts, perspectives, and experiences. Many attendees spoke about the women in their own lives who inspire and empower them, making the session deeply personal and reflective. The event concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to express their viewpoints and engage in meaningful dialogue. The discussions not only broadened awareness of women's contributions across different domains but also encouraged self-reflection on gender empowerment and representation. Overall, Femme Fiesta was a successful and enriching experience that combined education, interaction, and celebration, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
