On 31st March 2025, the Rotaract Club of KLE Law College (RID 3191) and the Rotaract Club of Erode Kalam (RID 3203) came together for a Cultural Exchange Event, aimed at fostering cross-cultural understanding and strengthening bonds between the two clubs. The event was attended by Mr. Gagan, President of the Rotaract Club of KLE Law College, along with Rtr. Vaishnavi G Naik, Rtr. Paulomi Santra, and Rtr. Krishna Trivedi, and was successfully organized by Rtr. Vaishnavi G Naik. The session began with an introduction by Rtr. Vaishnavi G Naik, followed by an engaging presentation on Karnataka’s history, language, and heritage, where Rtr. Krishna Trivedi assisted with slides. She further elaborated on Kannada’s linguistic significance and handed over the session to Rtr. Paulomi Santra, who spoke about Bengaluru’s history and its iconic locations such as Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Brigade Road, Cubbon Park, Wonderla, Nandi Hills, and Bangalore Palace. The session continued with a showcase of Karnataka’s diverse cuisine, featuring Holige (Obbattu), Idli and Dosa, Ragi Balls, Neer Dosa, Mysore Pak, and Mangalore Buns, followed by an introduction to traditional dance forms like Yakshagana and Dollu Kunitha. Additionally, participants were introduced to basic Kannada phrases such as Namaskara (Hello), Dayavitu (Please), Hegideera? (How are you?), Chenagidhini (I’m fine), Banni (Come), and Dhanyavadagalu (Thank you), making the event both educational and interactive. The Rotaract Club of Erode Kalam then shared insights into their culture, fostering a true exchange of traditions. The event concluded with a lively interactive session, where participants engaged in discussions and shared experiences. Finally, Rtr. Paulomi Santra delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all attendees and acknowledging Mr. Gagan for his support. The cultural exchange was a resounding success, promoting diversity, unity, and stronger connections within the Rotaract community.
