On March 1st, 2025, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar had the honor of hosting fellow Rotaractors from across the country as part of Nodi Namma Ooru, a District International Service initiative under the Rotaract Inter District Exchange (RIDE) for the Rotary Year 2024-25. As hosts, our club welcomed three Rotaractors from RI District 3011 and one from RI District 3040 for an immersive experience in our city. The day began early with a warm reception and a classic Bangalore-style breakfast run to the iconic Vidyarthi Bhavan. Conversations over crispy dosas and hot filter coffee set the tone for a memorable day ahead. Following breakfast, we explored the historic and cultural landmarks of Bengaluru—Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park—where our guests got to witness the charm and political significance of our state’s capital. Our members accompanied them throughout, sharing stories, local trivia, and building strong inter-district connections. The day concluded on a high note with a vibrant district-hosted dinner that brought together RIDE participants, club members, and the District Rotaract Representative Rtn. Rtr. Abhay Lohia. The evening was filled with music, laughter, dance, and fellowship, truly embodying the spirit of Rotaract across boundaries. Nodi Namma Ooru was a day of meaningful exchanges, heartfelt hospitality, and new friendships—one that truly showcased the essence of cultural sharing and camaraderie among Rotaractors from diverse backgrounds. We’re proud to have played a part in this initiative and look forward to many more such opportunities for fellowship and service.
