On 18th March 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV proudly organized its flagship project Swasthya, a community health initiative aimed at promoting well-being and accessible healthcare for all. Held at the Banshankari Temple premises from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, this health check-up camp was conducted in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, one of the leading healthcare providers. The primary focus of the camp was to provide free basic health check-ups, including blood pressure, sugar level monitoring, and general health assessments, followed by a one-on-one doctor consultation for every beneficiary. The serene and familiar environment of the temple made it easier for people from nearby communities to walk in and avail of the services without hesitation. Our initiative was designed keeping in mind the importance of early diagnosis and awareness, especially among those who might otherwise lack access to routine medical care. Doctors and medical staff from Fortis offered expert advice, cleared doubts, and guided people on maintaining a healthier lifestyle. The response was heartwarming, with several individuals expressing gratitude for bringing healthcare closer to them. Through Swasthya, we aimed not just to treat but to educate and empower the community about their health. This project truly reflected the Rotaract spirit of service above self, blending compassion, awareness, and action. As a flagship initiative, Swasthya reaffirmed our belief that access to healthcare is a fundamental right and that proactive steps can create healthier, happier communities.
