On 1st March 2025, the Rotaract Club of SSMRV successfully conducted Stack It Up – Phase 02, a fundraising community service project rooted in sustainability and social impact. This initiative focused on recycling old and unused paper, books, and magazines, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility while also raising funds for future service initiatives. Through collective efforts, we managed to gather and recycle an impressive 250 kilograms of paper waste. Every contribution, big or small, came from members, students, and well-wishers who believed in the cause and were eager to declutter with purpose. The project not only helped reduce the environmental burden but also turned waste into value, as we raised a total of ₹3,630 through the recycling process. These funds will directly support upcoming community service projects, ensuring that the cycle of giving continues. Stack It Up – Phase 02 was more than just a recycling drive—it was a reminder that sustainability and service can go hand in hand. It also created awareness among participants about how simple actions, like recycling paper, can make a difference when done collectively. This initiative falls under the Rotary focus area of Community Economic Development, reflecting how resourceful efforts can generate support for impactful community work. With this successful phase, we move forward inspired and more committed to blending environmental consciousness with the spirit of giving. Stack It Up stands as a testament to how small steps can lead to meaningful, long-term change.
