WINGS OF CARE [PHASE 2]

Mount Carmel College

Description

WINGS OF CARE is an international community service collaboration between our club and our twin club, the Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. This project aims to empower underprivileged children by collecting funds and storybooks, donating essential stationery and books to a local NGO, and fostering awareness about the importance of education and reading. We are thrilled to announce that Phase 2 of the project has been successfully completed, where we set up a mini library with a diverse collection of books at Spandana NGO (CARE & SAHAYA). Our library boasts an array of books, including storybooks for kids, self-help books, novels, general knowledge books, encyclopedias, academic books, and books in different languages. This curated collection caters to different ages and interests, providing something for everyone. We are proud of this achievement and grateful for the support of our volunteers, faculty, and partner institutions. As we look forward to Phase 3, we are excited to foster awareness about the transformative power of education and reading. Through a series of events and activities, we aim to inspire a love for learning and promote literacy among underprivileged children at Spandana NGO (CARE & SAHAYA). We are committed to creating a lasting impact and look forward to continuing this journey with our twin club and partner institutions
