On 7th March 2025, as part of Phase 4 of Project FemCare, an informative awareness session was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day, focusing on critical women’s health issues such as Cervical Cancer, PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease), and PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). The event, aimed at educating women on the symptoms, risks, and preventive measures for these conditions, was organized by Rotaract Club of Banashankari in collaboration with the LITSAPP Association of Jyoti Nivas College PG Center, Rotary Bangalore Banashankari, and Aikya Women Health Care. Dr. Smrithi D Nayak, an expert in women’s health, conducted the session, providing valuable insights into the early symptoms, diagnosis, and precautions associated with cervical cancer, PCOD, and PCOS. The talk was designed to raise awareness about these prevalent health issues and empower women with knowledge to take proactive steps for their well-being. The session was attended by nearly 200 participants, including students, professionals, and community members. The event provided an open platform for discussions, questions, and clarifications, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of how to manage and prevent these conditions. Phase 4 of Project FemCare successfully addressed the growing need for women’s health education and advocacy, emphasizing the importance of early detection and preventive care. The collaboration between educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and community service groups played a crucial role in making this initiative a success, ensuring that women are better equipped to make informed decisions about their health. Overall, the session was a significant step in raising awareness about cervical cancer, PCOD, and PCOS, reinforcing the importance of women’s health education, and empowering women to take charge of their health on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
