On 24th May 2025, the Rotaract Club of RVCE organized Raksha, a self-defense awareness initiative aimed at empowering young minds with essential life skills. Conducted across multiple NGOs in Bengaluru, the event focused on educating children—especially girls—about the importance of self-protection and confidence in challenging situations. Volunteers from the club, along with trained instructors, demonstrated basic yet effective self-defense techniques that the children could practice and remember. In addition to physical moves, sessions included interactive discussions on awareness, alertness, and mental strength as key components of self-defense. The children enthusiastically participated in all activities, showing great interest and willingness to learn. Raksha not only provided them with practical skills but also helped boost their self-esteem and awareness. The event reinforced the belief that knowledge is the first step towards safety and that every child deserves to feel secure, strong, and supported in their environment.
