Utkarsh - 10th Installation Ceremony

The 10th Installation Ceremony of the Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan which commenced at 10:30 am on 11th August, 2023-24, encompassed a series of engaging activities. It commenced with the President collar and meeting commencement, followed by an invocation song, the observance of the Four Way Test, and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The event included welcome speech by past president performances, with a President and Secretary song by Rtr. Vijay Kumar. A video presentation by Rtr. Nishan which was a description of report that had details of club activities incorporated in the Rota year 2022-23, followed by an additional segment by Rtr. Vijay Kumar. The ceremony also featured a warm welcome speech, a comprehensive report from the Secretary for the year 2022-23, and President remarks. The new President, Rtr. Mohammed Adnan Pasha, was introduced, and his installation was a key highlight of the event, joined by all dignitaries. President acceptance Speech by Rtr. Adnan Pasha followed by theme reveal through a video presentation brought excitement to the gathering. The new board was officially installed, with all dignitaries participating in this significant moment, led by Secretary Rtr. Ilqa Rabbani. The ceremony also included a book launch by all dignitaries followed by honoring CSEET exam awardees. Later, the introduction of the DRR (District Rotaract Representative) by Rtr. Amulya, and an address by Rtr. Rtn. Arun Teja Godhavarthi was presented. The gathering was graced with speeches by DRR and YSD (Youth Service Director), followed by a speech by the Chief guest. The President, along with faculty and principal representatives, shared their perspectives and insights. Guests were honored, and well-wishers made announcements during the event, and the Secretary conveyed additional announcements. A heartfelt vote of thanks concluded the ceremony, which concluded with the National Anthem, bringing the memorable event to a close. Club Orientation Session

We conducted an informative club orientation session on 27th October, 2023 led by Rtr. Nagendra E. as trainer in Shanthiniketan Degree college campus with an interactive PPT presentation. The session began sharply at 11:30 am with president collaring followed by welcome address by President, training session by trainer, opinion sharing by IPP and past secretary. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Club Secretary at 1:30 pm.

Smiles And Scribbles

Capturing moments of joy at 'Smiles and Scribbles,' an event organized by Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan in celebration of World Children's Day at B.S.V.P Anganwadi Kendra, Ijoor from 11:50 am - 1:00 pm. Our club members were thrilled to spread happiness and creativity at kid's home, distributing crayons, coloring books, chocolates, and other stationery. The genuine smiles on the children's faces made the event truly special, as we shared the joy of childhood and created lasting memories together.

Bytes Of Knowledge

Embarking on a journey of education and empowerment, Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan joyfully marked World Computer Literacy Day with our thoughtful initiative, 'Bytes of Knowledge' celebrating it on 5th December, 2023 in Government primary school, BGS Circle, Ramanagara. During a heartfelt 2.5 hour session which started at 11:30 am, our dedicated board members engaged with the children, breaking down the essentials of computers. The session started by Vice President giving introduction about the Club and the purpose of the day. It was followed by training sessions where the students were divided into teams of 5-6 and single board member was assigned the task of educating the kids. The students were curious to know more about tech and gadgets, they also had to complete small tasks like making a Word docx, Drawing and Painting, Surfing the web, Creating a slide, etc. We concluded the session by distributing smiles and chocolates to the students. The teachers at the school expressed their happiness as they saw their students embracing the opportunities that technology presents.

Blood Donation Drive

The Blood Donation Drive, a collaborative effort by Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan, Rotary Ramanagara, and Bangalore Medical Services Trust, was successfully conducted at Shanthiniketan Degree College, Ramanagara. The event aimed to encourage blood donation among college students and contribute to the noble cause of saving lives. Key Highlights: Donation Count: A total of 64 units of blood were collected from the enthusiastic college students of Shanthiniketan, showcasing the community's commitment to the cause. Collaborative Partnerships: The collaboration between Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan, Rotary Ramanagara, and Bangalore Medical Services Trust played a pivotal role in the smooth execution of the Blood Donation Drive. Venue and Date: The initiative took place on 22nd December 2023, at Shanthiniketan College campus, providing a familiar and convenient location for student donors. Post-Donation Refreshments: Following their generous donations, the donors were treated to refreshing post-donation snacks, including fruits, juice, and snacks. Donors were also awarded with certificate of appreciation.

Christmas Celebration- Sahayata

We at Rotaract club of Shanthiniketan celebrated Christmas Eve- "Sahayata" in a unique style at Nanda Gokula Ashrama. The heartwarming event organised by the active participation of the board members accompanied by our college principal, the club advisor featured lively dance performances, enriching conversations with the elderly, entertaining mimicry, a soulful singing session, and a gesture of compassion through food distribution to the residents of the old age home. We also expressed a heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a memorable one.

Drr's Official Visit

The Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan hosted the highly anticipated DRR's Official Visit on March 29, 2024. The event commenced with a warm breakfast, setting the tone for a productive and engaging day ahead. Three crucial meetings were held during the visit: Closed-Door Meeting: Attended by DRR, ZRR, President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Vice President, this intimate session facilitated candid discussions on key club matters and strategic planning. Board of Directors Meeting: Bringing together ZRR, DRR, President, Secretary, and 17 other board members, this gathering focused on reviewing past initiatives, evaluating current projects, and outlining future goals. General Body Meeting: Involving ZRR, DRR, President, Secretary, Board of Directors, and volunteers, this inclusive meeting provided a platform to discuss overarching club objectives, address member concerns, and celebrate achievements. During the event, the Secretary presented a comprehensive projects report for the Rotaract year 2023-24, highlighting the club's impactful contributions and milestones. A visually engaging PowerPoint presentation accompanied the report, offering a nostalgic journey through the club's memorable projects and initiatives. Additionally, the club diligently submitted essential documents including attendance reports, meeting minutes, agendas, and financial reports to both the ZRR and DRR, ensuring transparency and accountability in club operations. As the event drew to a close, DRR and ZRR expressed appreciation for the club's efforts and offered valuable insights on enhancing outreach and bolstering the club's impact and recognition within the community. Their guidance and encouragement served as invaluable inspiration for the club members, reaffirming their commitment to service and leadership. Overall, the DRR's Official Visit was a resounding success, fostering collaboration, reflection, and growth within the Rotaract Club of Shanthiniketan.

Cancer Awareness Program (Race)

Rotaract club of Shanthiniketan participated in the RACE initiated by Rotaract Bangalore midtown and Rotaract district 3191. We held an interactive session from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Seminar hall, Shanthiniketan Degree College, Ramanagara. The insights were delivered on the causes, prevention and treatment of the fatal disease-cancer where the Chief guest of the event was our D.G. and other Rotarians along with the Founder Secretary Rotarian Kumarswamy. The audience included rotaractors, volunteers, board members and college staff and students.

Green Generation

Rotaract Club of Shantiniketan visited Savanadurga to promote environmental awareness, encouraged sustainable practices, and contribute positively to our surroundings. EVENT DETAILS: Date and time: 30/10/2024; 11:30 AM Venue: Savanadurga Special invitees: Ramakrishnappa M – Deputy conservator of Forests, Ramanagara Shivanna – President Rotary Club, Ramanagara Chaithra G K – Zonal Forest officer, Magadi Guest of honors: Kumaraswamy R– Secretary general Sowmya Kumaraswamy – Youth service director Bhuvan Kumaraswamy Manasa S – Principal, Shantiniketan college of science and management studies Koushik Maane – President, Rotaract club of Shantiniketan Prakash M H – Ramanagara Times The primary objectives of this project were: To raise awareness about environmental conservation To conduct a thorough cleanup of the area. To plant trees and improve the green cover in Savandurga Volunteers engaged with local school, sharing information about the importance of preserving natural habitats and reducing pollution. Equipped with necessary tools participants cleaned up the area collecting wastes and ensuring the place was free of litter. To promote reforestation saplings were planted in designated area. Through this initiative, club has not only contributed to enhancing Savanadurga’s environment but also instead a sense of responsibility among the participants and the community. CONCLUSION: Hasiru peelige - green generation project was a successful step towards promoting eco consciousness and sustainability. We aim to continue such initiatives to make a positive environmental impact and foster a culture of environmental responsibility within our college community.

KANNADOTHSAVA The Rotaract Club of Shantiniketan organised Kannadothsava, a grand celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava, on the 16th November at 10:30 AM in the college premises that is Shanthiniketan College Of Science and Management Studies. This vibrant event was a heartfelt tribute to Karnataka’s rich culture, heritage, and traditions, bringing together students, staff, and guests in a joyous celebration of state pride. • Guest of honor : RTN. Kumaraswamy R – Secretary general, Rotary district 3191 • Special Invitees : RTN. Shivanna – President, Rotary club of Ramanagara Kariappa A.D – A Retired Soldier The festivities began a day earlier, on the 15th of November, with the grand unveiling of the event banner, setting the tone for the celebrations. A series of competitions, including essay writing, pick and speak, and drawing, were conducted to engage students and showcase their creativity and talent. On the main day, the celebrations commenced with a traditional celebration featuring bullock carts and majestic Hallikar cows, symbolising the deep-rooted agricultural heritage of Karnataka. This was followed by a formal program graced by the presence of the esteemed chief guest, Mr. Kariappa, a retired soldier, who shared inspiring insights and added significance to the occasion. The informal segment of the event added colour and vibrancy, with a ramp walk that highlighted the unique aspects of Karnataka’s diverse traditions. The stage came alive with energetic dance performances and melodious singing, all reflecting the cultural richness of the state. The theme of the event was elegantly represented through red and yellow attire, symbolising the pride and unity of Karnataka.

Trivia Night

The Rotaract Club of Ramanagara and Rotaract Club of Shantiniketan collaborated for an unforgettable evening of fun, knowledge, and camaraderie on 18/11/2024 organising Trivia Night, a vibrant virtual meet held to celebrate the wonders of Kannada cinema. The event was met with enthusiastic participation, creative energy, and a shared love for regional culture, making it a truly memorable experience for all involved. With over 25 Rotaractors joining in, Trivia Night was more than just a competition; it was a platform for cultural exchange and club bonding. The participants showcased their passion for Kannada movies, engaging in a variety of challenging questions that spanned across the rich history, iconic films, and celebrated personalities of Kannada cinema. The trivia rounds not only tested the participants knowledge but also sparked conversations about shared cultural heritage, fostering a deeper appreciation for Kannada cinema.One of our rotaractor won cash prize in this competition. Rotaractors look back on this evening of joy and learning. The spirit of Trivia Night—fun, knowledge, and camaraderie—will undoubtedly inspire many more memorable moments in the future.

Give Help And Offer Hope

On the occasion of Children’s Day ,the Rotaract club of Shantiniketan organised a heartwarming and impactful visit to Sneha Jyothi Ashram in Bidadi, an orphanage that provides care and support to underprivileged children. This noble initiative was aimed at bringing joy, comfort, and essential supplies to the children while fostering a sense of belonging and community. The visit was organized with the objective of addressing the needs of the children at the ashram while also creating a memorable and meaningful interaction. It was a gesture of care and compassion to support the ashram and its children during their journey of growth and learning. To foster a sense of happiness and belonging, we engaged the children in various fun games and activities. The children participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents and creativity. This interaction brought smiles to their faces and created an atmosphere of warmth and love. We distributed various items to meet the needs of the children and the institution. These included: • Sanitary Napkins – To promote hygiene and menstrual health among the girls at the Ashram. • Stationery items – such as notebooks, pens, pencils and erasers to support the childrens education. • Blankets – To ensure warmth and comfort during the upcoming winter months. • Food and Snacks – A variety of nutritious food items and snacks were provided. The visit had a profound impact on everyone involved. The children expressed their gratitude through smiles and warm gestures.

The Holi Party 2025 was a vibrant and joyful celebration that brought together attendees of all ages to enjoy the festival of colors in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The event was praised for its energetic music, with the DJ and live dhol performances keeping the crowd entertained throughout the day. Guests appreciated the use of safe, organic colors and the well-organized color play area. The food stalls offering traditional Holi delicacies like gujiya and thandai were a hit, though a few attendees suggested adding more variety. The venue was beautifully decorated and spacious, though some feedback indicated a need for additional shaded seating areas.
