Eternal Donors 2.0
The Rotaract Club of NMIMS, Bangalore, successfully organized Eternal Donors 2.0, a blood donation camp on the NMIMS campus on 24th September 2024. The event was a collaborative effort to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and help replenish blood banks with much-needed resources.
The camp saw an overwhelming response from both students and faculty, with over 120 individuals registering for the drive. Out of the registered participants, more than 80 successful donations were made, resulting in the collection of 80+ blood bags. These donations will significantly benefit patients in need of blood transfusions, including those suffering from medical conditions like anemia, cancer, and trauma injuries.
Beyond the number of blood bags collected, Eternal Donors 2.0 was a unifying experience. Faculty and students alike shared a common goal of giving back to society, showcasing their social responsibility and compassion. Many first-time donors expressed how fulfilling the experience was, while frequent donors encouraged others to make blood donation a regular part of their lives.
The event was managed by a skilled team of medical professionals who ensured that the donation process was safe, smooth, and hygienic. To ensure the safety and well-being of donors, a thorough screening process was conducted before each donation.
Eternal Donors 2.0 was a resounding success, not only because of the number of blood bags collected but also for its role in spreading awareness about the life-saving impact of blood donation. RaC NMIMS plans to continue organizing such events in the future, strengthening the bond between academia and community service.
