On 18th July, our club successfully completed a blanket distribution project targeting Anganwadi kids and below-poverty members in two locations: Naraynpura and Pai Layout near Tin Factory. This initiative was taken to provide blankets to needy people who are suffering from cold weather. These blankets were generously sponsored by Sai Garments. As we started our Rotary year with this impactful project, the blanket distribution event was marked significant and sponsors were Sai Garments. The involvement of the community and club members was commendable, ensuring the smooth execution of the project. We started this project in Naraynpura from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. A speech was given by the coordinator of the Anganwadi kids, Mr. Patil (APS Senior Coordinator), and we distributed 49 blankets to each member present in Anganwadi, making it a remarkable event. Later, we moved on to Pai Layout. There we started around 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM with our coordinator Subramanium sir giving a speech. We then conducted a small activity for the kids, brightening their faces, and later distributed 61 blankets, making it another remarkable event. We have successfully distributed 110 blankets to Anganwadi kids and below-poverty people in two different places, making a positive impact on the community. We sincerely thank Sai Garments sponsors for the blankets, which allowed us to give back to community members around us, and our club members who actively participated and made this project successful. This blanket distribution project was a significant step towards supporting the underprivileged children in our community.
