Waste To Wonder

On the 28th of July, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore BIT collaborated with Rotaract Club of Mount Carmel College for the event of Waste to Wonder. The speaker of the day was Mrs. Shalini Khanna Charles. She took up various interesting topics to talk on. It was a fun and interactive session. She spoke about different ways of composting like cost friendly ones where is no budget to a little budget, she talked about Vermicomposting, aerobic composting, etc. She spoke about the segregation of the waste into Green Bin, Red Bin and Reusable Bag, and how this practice is helpful in saving the nature. She made some very interesting points by such as we should promote the local foods or other local stuff; we should do events like green events, which generates least waste; we should use less chemical stuff like Lysol or Pril or Colin (basically cleaning or anything that we use) we can use natural stuff so that lesser amount of chemicals are present around us and be less harmful.

Rotaract Day Out

The Rotaract Club of BIT hosted an unforgettable gathering that resonates with the spirit of "Chillin' and grillin' at our picnic spot M.N Krishna Rao Park! Food, friends, and fun in the sun!" Our club members spent a delightful and memorable time together on the 10th of September '23, marking a day that will be etched in our collective memory throughout our journey. The day was filled with simple pleasures: we relished sandwiches and enjoyed a variety of refreshing drinks while engaging in entertaining activities such as playing frisbee. The atmosphere was one of pure delight, earning the day the description of "butterfly bliss" at our chosen picnic spot. Surrounded by the serene beauty of nature, with trees and greenery all around, the experience was a true escape into the tranquility of the outdoors.

Samanvaya - District Training Assembly

On the 27th of August 2023, the Rotary 3191 organized the District Training Assembly (DTA) to create an opportunity for Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, Directors, and PR & Editorial to experience the fun of training and in-person networking. In the District Training Assembly (DTA), our respective resource persons trained us about the fundamental of Rotaract, Bonding between Rotary & Rotaract, about the club meetings & its procedures. They also demonstrated how meetings are conducted. A session of about 3 hours was held in a friendly & fun environment playing some informative slides, videos & interactive games.

Female Health Checkup Camp

The health checkup camp, which was organized by the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology in collaboration with Kidwai Hospital and Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha, was successfully held on November 9th at the RameGowda Seminar Hall. The primary objective of the event was to provide free health checkups for all female staff and students of BIT. Registration was mandatory for all eligible attendees to ensure a comprehensive health-centric experience. A minivan was arranged for the camp which had all the necessary equipment, including mammogram and x-ray machines, to perform the required tests. The camp, which was conducted in partnership with Kidwai Hospital, aimed to promote well-being and encourage a healthy lifestyle among the participants. The organizing team worked diligently to make the event a success. In conclusion, the health checkup camp contributed to the collective effort to foster a culture of health and wellness within the B.I.T. community.

Halloween Party

On 31st October , 2023 The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology hosted an event “Halloween party”. It was a resounding success. The costumes were exceptional, and the runway displays were owned by the enthusiastic participants. "Men in Black" and "Masters of Wonderland" claimed well-deserved victory in the costume competition, while other remarkable presentations such as "Vampire Diaries," "Blood Artists," and "Red Flag" also charmed the crowd. The day was packed with thrilling fun, creating an unforgettable Halloween party. This achievement was made possible by the enthusiastic participation of all attendees.

Sayampratah - 15th Club Installation

On November 4, 2023, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology hosted the 15th Installation of the Office Bearers for the Rota Year 2023-2024, themed "SAYAMPRATAH - A twilight of inspiration and celebration." This special event took place in the RameGowda Seminar Hall, BIT, commencing at 5:00 PM. At the event, we delved into engaging conversations about our club's historical milestones and upcoming projects, with district Rotaract club members and zonal Rotaract club members extending their congratulations and words of support. To add an international touch, we had the privilege of hosting two Rotaract club members from abroad, one representing Sri Lanka and the other from Uganda, Africa. Public Speaking Webinar

On November 17th, the Rotaract Club of Bishop Cotton Women's Christian College hosted a dynamic webinar on public speaking. Led by experienced speaker Mr. Vasanth Ebenezer, the session focused on practical tips to enhance public speaking skills, covering topics such as overcoming anxiety, stage fear, skill development, and team management. The webinar began with an introduction to the significance of public speaking, delving into efficient communication techniques. Mr. Ebenezer shared personal experiences, highlighting key points to improve and practice effectively. The Q&A session allowed participants to seek advice on specific challenges, providing valuable insights. Rotaract Circle - Manthan

Rotaract Manthan Event - "Rotaract Circle" Date: 14/12/2023 and 15/12/2023 Location: BIT Organized by: Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology The Rotaract Circle successfully organized the "Rotaract Circle Extravaganza" at BIT. This event aimed to foster camaraderie, promote teamwork and raise awareness about social causes through a series of engaging activities. The event featured a diverse range of activities including Water Balloon Mash, Mad Dog, VR Game, Feed Your Friend, Block Game, Twister, and 7 Up-7 Down. 1. Water Balloon Mash: - Participants engaged in a friendly competition where strategic thinking and quick reflexes were essential to pop water balloons without getting wet. 2. Mad Dog: - A thrilling and energetic game where participants navigated a time challenging course by emptying the tictac boxes, promoting physical fitness. 3. VR Game: - Cutting-edge virtual reality technology was employed to offer participants an immersive and interactive gaming experience, emphasizing the integration of technology into recreational activities. 4. Feed Your Friend: - An innovative activity encouraging participants to work collaboratively to a culinary challenge where they feed their friend by crossing the obstacle. 5. Block Game: - A strategic and cerebral game involving building structures from blocks, fostering critical thinking, and team coordination. 6. Thanksgiving

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Jain evening college on one of the most wonderful event “Thanksgiving”. On occasion of World Thanks Giving Day where we were able to gift a total number 150+ Brand New Shirts to the security guards, Janitors and management staff of 7 different colleges successfully. It was a very joyous and a very precious moment to see happy smiles on people’s faces. A lot of other clubs collaborated and participated and helped making the event a successful one.

Pulse Polio Drive

The SAKSHAM organization, committed to the comprehensive development and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyang), hosted the State Disability Conference and Health Checkup Camps on March 3rd, 2024, at the esteemed Kuvempu Kalakshetra in Bengaluru in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology. This event served as a pivotal platform, convening over 750 esteemed delegates from various districts, with the collective aim of addressing the multifaceted challenges encountered by individuals living with disabilities. The conference agenda was meticulously curated to foster robust discussions and deliberations centered around innovative solutions, government schemes, policies, and the array of benefits accessible to ameliorate the obstacles confronting persons with disabilities. By fostering dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, this conference endeavoured to propel tangible advancements in the realm of disability rights and inclusivity. Moreover, the event conducted health checkup camps, providing vital medical assessments and services to attendees. The most significant part was the provision of Unique Disability ID (UDID) services, facilitating streamlined access to essential resources and entitlements for individuals with disabilities. Such initiatives underscore SAKSHAM's unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life and promoting the well-being of this marginalized community. Stem Cell Donation

On the 27th of July, Rotaract Club of Bangalore BIT along with DKMS-BMST and Rotaract club of Aagneya conducted a stem cell awareness registration for donors drive on 26/07/2023 at Bangalore Institute Of Technology.Our aim was to register our college students as donors and spread awareness about blood cancer and stem cell donation. Blood cancer patients need stem cells from a donor for recovery and healing, but in India many cancer patients can’t get treatment because of a lack of a donor. DKMS-BMST is working towards making a database for India so that a donor can be connected to a patient who requires stem cell. We successfully registered ~130 students as stem cell donors also spreading the word about the drive with more than 250 students and successfully concluded the event.

National And International Conflicts

On the 26th of July, Rotaract Club of Bangalore BIT collaborated with Rotaract Club of Swarna Bengaluru for the event of National and International Conflicts. The speaker of the day was Indian Army Veteran Rtn. Col. K N Narasimha. He took up various interesting topics to talk on the day of Kargil Vijay Diwas. He spoke about the Kargil war. He told us how all the fighters from our side were young 23-26 age, and the temperature was really cold but we finally won, which is truly very proud thing for us Indians. He talked about the different countries and their history and present about their warfare in past and present. He also mentioned that alliance with big country makes a country stable decreasing the amount of war, which as we can see is very true. He listed down many reasons why there would be possibility of war like political, ethical, historical, religion, freedom, economic status, etc. It was great interactive session to be attending.

Mega Trek V7.0

On 3rd of December, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Insitute of Technology collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Banashankari who organized a mega trek to the famous Kunagalu Hills located in the district of Ramanagara district. Around six hundred people registered and participated in this event, making it a huge success, out of which around sixty people were members of the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Insitute of Technology and also the students of BIT. The mega trek was a completely organized event which provided Transportaion to and from the destination, unlimited breakfast and lunch all for a reasonable amount of Rs 749 only. The mega trek was a fundraising event where a part of the money collected from the registrations were donated to the Sri Jayadeva Insitute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Jayanagar, for the neo natal heart surgeries. The participants were provided with lunch after their trek back to the bottom of the hill to rekindle their energy levels. Shortly after the lunch, everyone boarded the bus, back to Bengaluru. The bus ride back to Bengaluru was filled with music and dance, bringing a beautiful and fun filled end to the event of mega trek. It is truly amazing of a small contribution from many a people can be utilized for an amazing cause of saving valuable lives of the future youth of our country. The Rotaract club of Bangalore Insitute of Technology was honored with a certificate for their incredible contribution.

Technical Talk On Drones 101

The Rotaract club of Bangalore Institute of Technology collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Bangalore who organized the RCB speaker series. The RCB speaker series was a technical talk on drones 101 by Leo Peter Charles, droneprenuer, founder of Jane Aerospace. The talk was organized in the AI & ML seminar hall of BIT. A brief introduction about the speaker was provided after which the floor was open to our speaker, Leo. The speaker provided an informative session on drones and their applications in making lives of humans easier and efficient. He also provided a glimpse into the world of drones and possible career prospects. By stating real life applications and uses of drones in various fields like agriculture, space, surveying, firefighting, contactless drug delivery, military and defense, photography, drone taxi and many more, the speaker managed to provide the audience and the eager students a clear picture about the world of drones. The speaker also spoke about entrepreneurship, to be specific, droneprenuer, how to build a startup company for drones. He also shared information about what happens inside the Jane Aerospace, the type of work they handle and their supply chain details. He also provided an insight about how the future of drones would be and how the growing technology is making impossible and tedious tasks way simpler and easier to perform. The talk was attended by several students from various departments of Bangalore Institute of Technology. The speaker’s talk was followed by the question & answer session

Toonflix

On November 18th, the Rotaract clubs of Dyal Singh College and MES College collaborated with the Rotaract club of Bangalore Institute of Technology to organize an online event called 'TOONFLIX'.The event aimed to provide the audience with a nostalgic experience by revisiting the beloved cartoon series of their childhood. TOONFLIX was a virtual event that was conducted through Google Meet. A variety of well-known cartoons were presented, covering a vast majority of the popular ones. The event was successful in invoking nostalgia and associated emotions amongst the audience, thereby providing them with a delightful experience. The attendees expressed their satisfaction with the event, and a small quiz was administered after the session.

Blood Donation Drive

The Blood Donation Drive was organized by the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) in association with Rotary Club of Bangalore Aagneya, with the coordination of KIMS, Lions Club of Wilson Garden, and Suraksha Blood Bank organization. The event, held on 9th February 2024 in the BIT campus, aimed to address the critical need for blood in healthcare emergencies while promoting voluntary blood donation among the community. The event commenced with a dignified Lamp Lighting Ceremony, graced by representatives from participating organizations, including esteemed individuals like Rtr. Rtn. BVLN Prasad Sir, PP Rtr. Rtn. Abhay and all the doctors from the various organizations. This ceremony symbolized the enlightenment and hope brought forth by blood donation, setting a positive tone for the event. Subsequently, the blood donation drive witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 250+ donations made by volunteers from diverse backgrounds. This significant turnout highlighted the collective commitment of the community towards addressing the crucial need for blood in healthcare emergencies. The success of the blood donation drive can be attributed to meticulous planning and dedicated efforts of the organizing committee, ensuring seamless operations from logistical arrangements to donor engagement. In conclusion, the Blood Donation Drive organized by the Rotaract Club of BIT exemplified the power of collective action in promoting voluntary blood donation. This success would not have been possible without the generosity of donors, dedication of volunteers, and support of stakeholders, including our District Rotaract Representative-Elect for this event, PP Rtr. Rotasia Bengaluru 2024 united Rotaractors from across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, with participation from all Rotaract districts in these countries. This diverse gathering created an inclusive environment for learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange. The event commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony, setting the tone for the days ahead with a focus on collaboration and leadership. Engaging panel discussions on the second day provided insights into various topics relevant to Rotaract and community service, facilitating meaningful dialogue and the exchange of ideas among participants from different regions and backgrounds. Throughout the event, district presentations showcased the achievements and initiatives of each participating district, offering valuable insights into the diverse efforts and impact of Rotaract across the region. On the third day, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region through vibrant presentations and performances representing each district. Solarpunk - Rrr 2.0

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore BIT, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Swarna Bangalore, proudly participated in the Project RRR 2.0 initiative by joining the Solarpunk Poster Making Competition. This competition provided a platform for members to creatively showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability and the values of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Through our participation, members demonstrated their dedication to raising awareness about the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices and promoting a greener future. By harnessing their artistic talents, we effectively conveyed the message of environmental stewardship to a wider audience. Together, we contributed to the broader movement of advocating for sustainable living practices and inspiring positive change in society. Party In Pink

On the 29th of October, the Rotaract Club Of JP Nagar in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology, organized a community-driven awareness event that is a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. The day began with an amazing speech by experts on Breast Cancer, its symptoms, and prevention tips. They also encouraged people to fitness and rendered us the Importance of Zumba as a fitness measure to help counter Breast Cancer. Following that, the most awaited event of the day, the Zumba session started. It was a fun-filled 60-minute Zumba session engaged by the Zumba instructors, to understand the importance of early detection of breast cancer and how Zumba can benefit physical and mental wellness. With great enthusiasm, they made all our participants dance gracefully and hence gratified the event. Along with that a donation drive was conducted and a total amount of two lakhs was collected. The collected amount was donated to Shri Shankara Breast Cancer Treatment Hospital.

Guardians Gathering - Zonal Meet

On October 29th, Rotaract District 3191 - Zone Guardians held its first quarterly zonal meeting. The meeting was addressed by Zone Rotary Representatives, PP. Rtr. Rtn. Padma Nesar & PP. Rtr. Tatwick VB, and was hosted by the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology & and Rotaract Club of Bishop Cotton Women Christian College. Kalakrithi - The Work Of Art

The Rotaract club of Bangalore Institute of Technology collaborated with the Rotaract club of Indian Institute of Fashion Technology along with the Rotaract District 3191, organised an event on the occasion of children's day. This event took place in two phases. Phase one: The event was conducted on the 16th of November, at the government school Dasarahalli, where the participants along with the children at the school expressed their thoughts in the form of paintings on tote bags. Nearly a 100 tote bags were painted on this day. Phase two: The event was again conducted on 18th of November at the famous Cubbon park. The participation was open to all the clubs and it's members, family and friends. Another 100 tote bags were painted by the participants, making this event a fruitful one. The beautiful hand painted tote bags were sold for a low price of Rs 150 by the respective clubs to raise funds. The funds raised were handed over to the Rotaract club of IIFT. They utilised this money to donate a printer to the Government school. This event brought out the artist in all of us and a huge smile on the face of the children at the school . Overall this event was a successful and noble one.

Winter Donation Drive 2.0

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology, in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Koramangala, Rotaract Club of Southwest, Rotaract Club of Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College, and Rotaract Club of Aagneya, organized a successful winter donation drive, collecting 15k+ clothes from November 26th to December 31. The primary goal was to provide warmth to children from Angels Orphanage and Rakum Orphanage. The heartwarming initiative not only achieved its objective but also brought immense joy and happiness, as evident from the radiant smiles on the children's faces. Reflecting on this journey, sincere gratitude is extended to all the participating clubs for their pivotal role in making the project a success. Together, they emphasize the transformative power of compassion in creating a brighter, warmer world. The Donation took place on 14th January 2024.

On International Mother Language Day, a cultural exchange program titled 'RELATION-24' was organized by the Rotaract Club of Chittagong Alliance. Held on February 18, 2024, via Google Meet, the event commenced at varying times across participating countries - 8:00 pm in Bangladesh and Bhutan, 7:30 pm in India and Sri Lanka, 7:00 pm in Pakistan, and 7:45 pm in Nepal. The program commenced with Holy Book Recitations, starting with The Holy Quran recitation by RAC Chittagong Alliance from Bangladesh, followed by The Vedas recitation by RAC Udaan Nashik from India, and The Tripitaka recitation by RAC from Sri Lanka. Subsequently, the Rotaract Club of Sri Vasavi College from India elaborated on the Rotaract Purpose. Following this, Rotaractors introduced themselves sequentially. The National Anthem of each country was played at different times - RAC Chittagong Alliance from Bangladesh, RAC S.A. College of Arts & Science from India, RAC Hazara from Pakistan, RAC Ratnapura from Sri Lanka, and RAC Narayani Mid Town from Nepal. Further, a documentary about February 21 was presented by RAC Ctg Alliance from Bangladesh, and a video was shared by RAC S.A. College of Arts & Science from India. At 9:00 pm, each Club President conveyed their sentiments, concluding the program with a Vote of Thanks.

Party In Pink 3.0

The Rotaract Club of BIT successfully organized Party in Pink 3.0 in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of JP Nagar, a breast cancer awareness event, on 20th October 2024 at the BIT quadrangle.It is our annual event, held every October. An hour-long Zumba session was arranged with the help of trained professionals, and around 100 people participated. It was a very motivating and moving experience for us. For many participants, it was their first time, but everyone went with the flow as the dancing session progressed and seemed to enjoy it.This was followed by some refreshments. The event was focused and structured to spread awareness about breast cancer, physical well-being, and body positivity. We managed to collect INR 2,00,000. All the funds collected through registration fees were transferred to the breast cancer treatment center.The event led to a successful collaboration with other Rotaract clubs in the district, helping spread awareness about early detection and breast cancer care. We received very positive feedback from all the participants, which strengthens our resolve to do even better next year. The campus was filled with energy and positivity, and overall, we managed to make strong connections with the diverse crowd, bringing smiles to faces by the end of the event.

Winter Donation Drive 3.0

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology successfully organized the Winter Donation Drive, a community service initiative under the leadership of the Community Service Director and the guidance of our esteemed Club President. The drive commenced in November 2024, with the primary objective of collecting warm clothing for those in need during the harsh winter months. Through the collective efforts of our club members and generous contributions from donors, we amassed an overwhelming 1,300 clothing items. The culmination of this initiative took place in the last week of January 2025, when the donations were distributed to two chosen organizations: Mathrushree Manovikasa Kendra – A center dedicated to the care and support of individuals with special needs. Auxilium Navajeevana – A home for underprivileged children, where we aimed to bring warmth and joy beyond just clothing donations. At Auxilium Navajeevana, our club members took the opportunity to interact with the children, engaging them in fun activities and games to spread happiness. In addition to warm clothes, we also provided stationery kits and craft supplies, encouraging creativity and learning among the young beneficiaries. This initiative was a testament to the dedication of our entire Rotaract team, whose tireless efforts made it a resounding success. Their hard work in organizing, collecting, sorting, and distributing donations played a crucial role in ensuring the warmth of generosity reached those in need.

Bit's Got Talent

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology successfully organized BIT's Got Talent on April 2, 2025, our flagship event, providing a platform for students to showcase their diverse talents and fostering a spirit of creativity within the institution. On April 1, we had a jamming session where all students were open to participate, and our college's Music Club performed with their team members. On April 2, the inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. J Prakash, Vice Principal, and Dr. Chaitra Bocheer K S, Dean of Student Affairs, under the esteemed presence of our faculty coordinators, Dr. Yashaswini M and Mr. Chethan J. The event commenced at 10:00 AM and concluded with the announcement of winners at 4:00 PM. Spearheaded by the Chair and Co-Chair, the event was meticulously managed, ensuring a seamless experience for participants and the audience. The dance performances took place on the main stage at the college quadrangle, creating a lively atmosphere, while the other performances were hosted in the Placement Cell. To ensure fair judgment and credibility, three esteemed judges, Ms. Sneha D. Murthy, Mr. Sinan Ali Mohammed, and Rtr. Harshita, were invited to evaluate the performances. The event was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation and appreciation from students and faculty members alike. The winners were recognized and felicitated for their outstanding performances, with Manya S securing the 1st prize, Susmita Mathapati and Sanjana R Rao sharing the 2nd prize, and Shreya R winning the 3rd prize. The Rotaract Club extends its gratitude to the management, faculty coordinators, participants, judges, and volunteers who contributed to making BIT's Got Talent a memorable and impactful event. We look forward to organizing more such events that inspire and celebrate the talent within our institution.

Rotaract Circle

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology successfully organized an exciting two-day event titled Rotaract Circle on April 25th and 26th, 2025, held at the college quadrangle. This interactive event featured a unique collection of seven engaging games designed to entertain, challenge, and energize participants, drawing enthusiastic crowds and fostering a fun-filled environment on campus. The seven featured games included: Scream in Silence 7-Up 7-Down Bowling Reverse Charades Jenga Twist Stack-Flip-Pop Snake and Ladders (Real Board Edition) Each game was thoughtfully curated to provide a distinct and enjoyable experience, combining elements of skill, strategy, and humor. While some games were conducted purely for recreational enjoyment, others featured prizes to further motivate and reward participants. The event was a vibrant display of student engagement, teamwork, and spirited participation. Not only the students but also college faculty members actively took part in the games and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, adding to the inclusive and joyous spirit of the event. With colorful setups and cheerful coordination by the Rotaract members, the quadrangle buzzed with energy across both days. "Rotaract Circle" not only succeeded in providing a break from academic routine but also highlighted the organizing capabilities and creativity of the Rotaract Club.
