Samanvaya - District Training And Assembly

We are glad to share that we successfully hosted the first District Training and Assembly, Samanvaya, along with the Rotaract Club of BMS College of Engineering and District 3191 on 27th August, 2023. With a turnout of more than 400 participants, the day was filled with enlightening sessions and engaging activities from experienced trainers and speakers. Our very own Rtr. Ullas Rao took on the role of event chair, ensuring that it was not only informative but also an enjoyable training for all.

Pragathi Protsaha

We successfully completed the first phase of Pragathi Protsaha, an initiative by Rotaract Club of Vidyaranyapura to support the underprivileged school students with necessary resources. 400 kits were distributed in four rural Bangalore schools. We, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, have sponsored 50 kits towards the project ie. ₹14,900/- and collaborated for the project.

Pragathi Protsaha - Phase 2

The second phase of Pragathi Protsaha was successfully completed on July 12th, 2023. In collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Vidyaranyapura, we effectively distributed kits to three schools located near Devanahalli. Other collaborated Rotaract clubs from districts 3191 and 3192 joined us for the distribution as well. A total contribution of 65 kits worth Rs.19,370/- for this project was made by us, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar. As a collaborative gesture, the labels on the distributed kits featured the logo of our club.

Trick Or Trek

On the 13th of August, our group of adventurous members set about on a memorable trek to Ramadevara Betta. Filled with excitement, we began our journey from the base, hiking through the beautiful trails and views along the way. Some of us even ventured through small tunnels, capturing moments and enjoying the scenery. The view from the peak was very beautiful, we took a scenic break before heading back to the base. To wrap up our day, we enjoyed a delightful lunch hosted at our members' home. This trek was a memorable experience for all of us.

Ek Bandhan Rakshabandhan

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, we collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Dombivli Suncity, RID 3142, for Ek Bandhan Rakshabandhan, an initiative by Rohit Achrekar from Way to Cause Rider's Club. In this heartwarming project, we sent rakhis, postcards and love to the brave soldiers stationed at Kashmir Cantonment and Kargil. On the 30th of August, an event was held at the Kargil War Memorial for our brave soldiers where they tied the rakhis that we sent and distributed sweets. The team received around 28000 rakhis from all over the country, through various Rotaract Clubs and other organizations. It served as a heartening gesture of gratitude towards the soldiers who selflessly protect our nation.

Nele 2.0

We successfully completed our Community Service project, Nele 2.0, at Sri Chaitanya Old Age Home on 24th September, 2023. The team organised delightful activities for the elderly residents, and their enthusiastic participation warmed our hearts. Following this, we distributed all the groceries we had gathered and wrapped up the project with heartfelt conversations. This project was a truly heartwarming experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our Sunday morning!

Sanne Nudi

In collaboration with Rotaract Club of RVDC and Rotaract Club of Hyderabad Himayatnagar, we conducted 'Sanne Nudi', a workshop on sign language for our members. The speaker of the session was Rtr. Anisha Srinivas, the President of RaC Hyderabad Himayatnagar. Our members not only learned the essentials of Indian sign language the traditional way, but also practiced the signs with various fun activities. The activities involved observing, working in teams and hands-on practice. It was a great mix of learning and fun, creating a memorable experience for everyone!

Online Career Guidance

In collaboration with the GCK Computer Science Alumni Association, we conducted an online Career Guidance Class. This session aimed at guiding and inspiring the students of first and second-years of M.Sc. The session was led by our very own Professional Service Director, Rtr. Dr. Roopashree HS. With about 20 participants, Dr. Roopa presented various career options available to the students, imparting valuable insights that could positively influence their lives.

Zen Wellness

We kicked off the new year on a positive note by prioritizing our well-being with Zen Wellness. The yoga session took place on January 7th at Cubbon Park. Under the guidance of our very own experienced instructor, Rtr. Rajalakshmi, our members embarked on a rejuvenating journey of self-care and positive energy amidst the greenery of Cubbon Park. Trying on different asanas helped us get to know the flexibility of our bodies. With the guidance of the graceful yoga teacher, it made the most difficult steps perform with ease. After a relaxing session of yoga and meditation, we concluded with a healthy and delicious breakfast. It was a great way to start 2024!

Badminton Tournament Extravaganza

The Club Service team organized a fun evening for our members on January 20, 2024, with the 'Badminton Tournament Extravaganza' project. All the participants showed extreme sportsmanship, and the matches were intense and worth watching. After several matches, the tournament concluded with Rtr. Niranjan K and Rtr. Shashank emerging as winners, and Rtr. Karthik Chikmath and Rtr. Vinay Karath as the runners-up. Throughout the tournament, we cheered, celebrated victories, enjoyed delicious refreshments, and were impressed by the skills displayed by all our members. It was a fun experience for all of us!

Canopy Of Dreams

On January 27th 2024, our Community Service team initiated the project 'Canopy of Dreams' around Uttarahalli. We distributed six canopies to infants under one year old. This project was focused on providing comfort and security to the children in construction sites. Witnessing the radiant smiles on the parents' faces as they received the canopies was truly heartwarming. We also distributed chocolates to the kids in the area. We were delighted to have contributed to making a small yet meaningful difference in their lives.

Winter Is Coming

We successfully completed Winter Is Coming by donating over 300 clothes at the economically backward areas of Kadirenahalli. The clothes that were distributed had been checked and sorted before handing them over. It included clothes for babies to senior citizens. It was heartwarming to see all the smiles.

Wrap It Up

"Wrap It Up" was a heart warming project aimed at providing comfort to families in economically depressed area of Uttarahalli on 16th March, 2024. With a focus on essentials, such as bedsheets and blankets, the project sought to address basic needs often overlooked in underprivileged communities. The team consisted of 11 dedicated volunteers for the distribution. In the end, "Wrap It Up" was more than just a project; it was a testament to the power of kindness and generosity to uplift and unite communities in need.

A Happy Cry

"The Happy Cry" was a touching initiative designed to give solace to impoverished families in Uttarahalli. The initiative, which concentrated on baby garments for children under two, aimed to address necessities that are sometimes disregarded in impoverished areas. Thirteen committed volunteers made up the team. Ultimately, "Happy Cry" was more than simply a project—it was evidence of the ability of compassion and giving to strengthen and bring together underserved communities.

Hosting Incoming Ride 3141

Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar hosted the incoming RIDE team from RI District 3141 on 9th December 2023. It was a great evening of Rotaraction and fellowship as we engaged in various conversations about meaningful and impactful projects and beautiful diversity. We started by visiting the Indian Musical Experience located at JP Nagar ,the country's first interactive music museum, and features exhibits on every genre and subgenre of Indian music. As the sun set down, we visited the world-famous Kadlekai Pareshea traditional annual groundnut festival focusing on local groundnuts filled with an array of stalls and markets where vendors showcase and sells various groundnuts-based products, including snacks, sweets, and traditional delicacies. It was a completely new experience for the incoming Rotaractors as the got to witness this festival offering a unique cultural experience and a taste of Karnataka's rich culinary traditions centered around groundnuts. We ended this exciting evening with a dinner at the famous Meghana's Biriyani where the Rotaractors relished on authentic Bengaluru style unique and flavorful biriyani. Overall it was an evening of fellowship and cultural exchange that the Rotaractors from Mumbai could witness and enjoy the culture of Namma Bengaluru

From community service initiatives to fostering lifelong friendships, the video highlighted the club's commitment to making a positive difference in both local and global communities. Through this creative endeavor, the Rotaract Club of JP Nagar successfully engaged its members and promoted the values of Rotary International. The 3rd installation ceremony of our club was held on 9th July. The outgoing president handed over the club responsibility to the incoming president. The President introduced her new board members and the theme for the year, A Journey of Passion. DRR Rtr. Rtn. Arun Teja Godavarthi inducted the new members to the club. The event was graced by District YSD, Rtn. Prasanna Hegde, Rotary Bangalore JP Nagar President, YSD and members, Limitless leaders and club members, and leaders from District 3192 and Mysore. The event was followed by dinner.

Smile Please

Smile Please was an impactful initiative that provided dental screening and treatment for all the workers at Bannerghatta National Park that included forest rangers, guards, officers, watchers and other staff. The camp was conducted for two days in different locations of Bannerghatta forest ranges. We successfully screened and treated over 150 people and raised awareness about oral hygiene during the course of treatment. The camp was organized with support from the students of Oxford Dental College and collaboration with Friends of Wildlife.

Seed Sowing

Seed Sowing project was a collaborative project with our sponsor, Rotary Bangalore JP Nagar, at Thottikallu Forest. We sowed a variety of seeds, guided by the dedicated forest officers. Following this, we went on a short trek to the TK Falls, all while receiving insightful briefings about the forest and it's elephant corridors from our hosts. We are hopeful that this project will leave a positive impact on the ecosystem in the years to come.

On the occasion of World Photography Day, we, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Ambernath Smart City for their global photography contest, Fotografia. The contest had five categories for the participants to choose from. More than ten registrations from our club were made in various categories. We are delighted to announce that Rtr. Roopashree bagged the 2nd Runner-Up position in the Food Photography category.

Basic Life Support Skills

We are happy to share that we completed our Professional Development Training of Basic Life Support Skills, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals and Rotaract Sobha Forest View, for our members on September 23, 2023, held at RV Dental College. During this training session, the team provided insights on the importance of CPR, its proper execution, and guidelines for handling emergency situations effectively. We had the students of RV Dental College and Rotaract Club of Jayanagar join us for the event and made it a grand success. As the saying goes, "It's always better to know and not need it than to need it and not know." Let us not forget that there is a warrior inside each one of us, ready to respond when needed.

A successful completion of our International Service project, Sangam - Bridging Cultures, Forging Friendships! The cultural exchange with Rotaract Club of Nashik Nine Hills, RID 3030 was beautifully curated and presented by both the clubs on September 24th, 2023. From Nashik’s famous Sula Wine to Bangalore’s Vidyarthibhavan Dose, From Triyambhakeshwar temple to Bangalore’s IT culture, From Harihar Fort to Bannerghatta National Park, We covered a wide array of experiences that showcased the beauty and uniqueness of both our regions. The session was followed by letterhead exchange, amplifying the joy of connecting individuals from different corners of the country, all sharing a common Journey of Passion.

Party In Pink - Breast Cancer Awareness

Party In Pink 2.0 - A Zumba Fundraiser initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness. We had a lot of support from celebrities across Kannada film industry. We received immense support for our social media campaign from Master Anand, Aniruddha known for his work in Kannada serial Jothe Jotheyali, Emmjee who is a famous Kannada rapper, Swathi who is known soap artist and Rachel David who is well known for her role in Love Mocktail movie. We also created awareness throughout the month in our social media platforms of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and our Club Website by sharing facts and information about breast cancer, helping in bursting the myths. We are grateful for all the support through which we have created a positive image for our flagship project as well as our Club in the community.

Palette Party

On October 1st, our Club Service Team organized an entertaining drawing and painting session for our members called the "Palette Party" at Cubbon Park. Members were grouped into teams, each with its unique theme, and they had a set amount of time to showcase their creativity. The results were remarkable – from depictions of aliens in spaceships to a vision of Rotaract in the future, and even the invention of entirely new animals. The imagination and creativity of our artists truly shone during this event! The teams came up with beautiful paintings, and the winners were rewarded with delicious prizes. Following the project, we held a General Body Meeting, and it was a delightful and fun-filled experience for all of us!

Spots Of Love

In celebration of National Wildlife Week, we are delighted to introduce a new member to our family. This Rotary year, within the framework of our Wildlife Conservation Project, "Spots of Love", we have proudly adopted Gopal, a majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. The fundraiser was conducted between 1st and 10th of August, 2024. Gopal, who was rescued at the age of six, now calls Wildlife SOS home. A decade later, he continues to thrive under their care, receiving specialized geriatric care. Despite his age, Gopal is known for his playful spirit and his love for splashing around in the water. As a part of our commitment, we will be providing support for Gopal's dietary needs, medical care, and his enrichment program throughout this year. With the help from our sponsor Rotary, we are proud to be able to extend our support to Gopal and play a role in his well-being during this special year of his life.

Umang 2023 - Outgoing Ride To Rid 3055

During Navratri, RID 3055 hosted a remarkable RIDE for us, spanning from October 20th to October 22nd, 2023. Among our members, Rtr. Sanjana Sharma had the privilege of participating in this RIDE to Bhuj, Gujarat. This exciting RIDE was graciously hosted by the home club of the District Rotaract Representative, the Rotaract Club of Bhuj Midtown. Throughout her visit, Rtr. Sanjana had the opportunity to explore some of Bhuj's iconic landmarks, including the Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum, the Vande Mataram Memorial, and the Swami Narayan Temple, to name just a few. She also relished authentic Gujarati cuisine, thoughtfully hosted by the members in their homes. This provided her with a unique opportunity to interact with their families and gain insights into their rich culture. Rtr. Sanjana enthusiastically shared that the highlight of the RIDE was the vibrant and joyous Navratri celebrations, one of Gujarat's most significant festivals. The entire city came alive with the festivities, creating a truly memorable experience. In addition to her explorations, Rtr. Sanjana engaged in letterhead exchanges with various Rotaract clubs across India, further expanding our club's network and establishing valuable connections nationwide.

Party In Pink 2.0 - Zumba Fundraiser

With gratitude in our hearts, we are delighted to announce the successful completion of Party In Pink 2.0, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology, held on October 29, 2023, at BIT. Party In Pink stands as our flagship community service project and fundraiser, dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and providing support to those bravely fighting this battle. We had close to 100 participants moving along with the ever energetic Zumba Instructors - ZIN Deeksha Kotian ZIN Feelics Kipson ZIN Sri Lakshmi Thanks to the unwavering support from our sponsors and collaborators, we were able to contribute ₹2,00,000/- to the Shri Shankara Cancer Foundation, aiding in the treatment of those in need of breast cancer care. On the joyous occasion of Children's Day, our team had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Child Welfare Committee, a boy's observation on November 12, 2023. Upon arrival, we introduced ourselves to the children. The Committee walked us through the operations of the center, highlighting their efforts in caring for boys rescued from various circumstances - railway stations, begging, abandonment, and more. During our time there, we organized fun games and team-building activities, creating moments of joy and connection among the boys. It was truly heartening to spend quality time with them, fostering positive interactions and creating memories. As our visit concluded, we shared refreshments, hoping to contribute a bit of happiness to their lives. The experience left a lasting impression on our team, deepening our appreciation for life's blessings and showing us the significance of such initiatives, reinforcing the importance of support for these children.

Aarogya Mela

In collaboration with Bhagawan Buddha Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital, we held a homoeopathy health camp, Arogya Mela, on March 10th, 2024, in the economically challenged area of JP Nagar. Focused on making homoeopathic healthcare accessible, the project aimed to address health concerns and raise awareness about the advantages of this alternative medical approach. With the help of three doctors and four interns from Bhagawan Buddha, we successfully provided free medical check-ups and treatment to nearly 100 residents. To ensure everyone's well-being throughout the day, we also provided lunch for the doctors, interns and volunteers present during the project. We are happy to be able to make a significant contribution to the overall health and vitality of our society.

Fear Factor 4.0

In collaboration with RaC Bangalore JP Nagar and RaC Bangalore Jayanagar, RaC Koramangala hosted a "Fear Factor" challenge at Lalbagh on February 24th, 2024. This project was all about teamwork and time management. Members were divided into teams and faced a series of tasks to complete within a limited time. The challenges ranged from talking to strangers to convincing friends to join Rotaract. The team that finished the tasks first was the winner for the day. Despite the competition, everyone had fun racing around Lalbagh, working together to complete the challenges.

Aarohan

Aarohan, a musical fundraising event in collaboration with our sponsor club, Rotary Bangalore JP Nagar, and our sister club, Rotaract Club of DA Pandu RV Dental College, took place on 2nd December 2023 at RV Dental College. As the flagship project of Rotary Bangalore JP Nagar, the event showcased a performance by renowned singer Smt. Sangeetha Katti, accompanied by her team. Watching the performance was a pure delight! On the day of the event, we took the lead in managing the registration desk and coordinating event logistics, closely collaborating with our sponsor Rotary to ensure the smooth running of the event. We're glad to have contributed to the event's success while working alongside our sister club.

We celebrated the Christmas Party event at the JP Nagar Cultural Association, bringing together members for a festive and lively gathering. A highlight of the celebration was the Secret Santa gift exchange, fostering a sense of joy among participants. Additionally, we relished delicious food, contributing to the festive atmosphere. Annual Planning Workshop

Our Annual Planning Workshop, led by Rtr. Niranjan Aithal on February 8th, 2024, was an engaging session of strategic planning, goal-setting, and reflection. Members actively participated, discovering effective methods and setting inspiring goals for the year ahead. Through interactive exercises, members embarked on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering past achievements and mapping clear objectives for the coming year while identifying key milestones. This workshop equipped everyone with the tools and insights needed to navigate the coming year with a strong sense of purpose and direction.

Sunday Funday 2.0

In collaboration with RaC JP Nagar and RaC Jayanagar, RaC Koramangala hosted a fun-filled Sunday Funday for all the members on 25th February, 2024, at Lalbagh. The project kicked off with fun introductions, allowing members to get to know each other. This was followed by a series of engaging activities that had everyone excited and actively participating. As teams were formed, a friendly competition unfolded and it was a joy to witness the sportsmanship and friendly banter among the teams. Members had the opportunity to network, build new friendships and create lasting memories, making it a Funday Sunday indeed!

Kadlekai Parshe Meet

The Club Service team organized a fun evening for our members at Kadlekai Parshe, an annual groundnut fair in Bengaluru. Despite the bustling crowd, we had a lot of fun cruising through it. We sang, laughed, grabbed yummy snacks on the way, and admired the beautifully lit fairgrounds. We wrapped up the day with dinner on our way back home. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience for all of us.

Outgoing Ride To Philippines - Ri District 3790

During the World Rotaract Week from March 14th to 18th 2024, PP Rtr. Lalitha Deepak set out on RIDE to Philippines, RI District 3790. She expressed that the experience was a transformative journey hosted by the Rotaract Club of Saint Fabian, Rotaract Club of Metro, Malasiqui, and Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Club of Hundred Islands. Together, they embarked on a mission of service and fellowship, igniting enthusiasm among students, raising awareness about pregnancy and maternal health, and participating in a coastal cleanup drive at Hundred Islands. Throughout our four-day excursion, they traversed diverse landscapes, guided by the noble mission of Rotaract. From distributing essential care units to advocating for environmental stewardship through coastal cleanup, each activity resonated with purpose and impact. During the course of R.I.D.E, they visited multiple places that depict rich culture and history of Philippines. As they bid farewell to District 3790, they carried with us not only memories of cultural vibrancy and hospitality but also the profound sense of fulfillment that comes from serving others. Special thanks to ADRR Marione and the force of RI District 3790 for their exemplary leadership and for orchestrating an unforgettable journey of compassion and warmth.

Drr's Official Visit

On March 31st, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar successfully hosted the DRR's Official Visit in the presence of DRR Rtr. Rtn. Arun Teja Godavarthi and the Rotaract District Council of RI District 3191. Our dedicated board members showcased the impactful projects undertaken in their respective avenues of service. Following the presentation, we announced Star Rotaractors and JPN Passionate Stars, recognizing members for their outstanding contributions to the club. Adding to the excitement, we launched our club newsletter, Dhwani 3.0, and proudly introduced our President Elect, Rtr. Geethanjali AR. The event concluded with a delightful dinner.

Spots Of Love - Phase 2

In the phase 2 of Spots of Love, we got to see our adopted Bengal Tiger - Gopal in the rescue centre. He is an absolutely majestic creature, shy and agitated to see humans. We learnt about his health condition, food habits and his behavioural patterns. We also got a chance to learn and understand more about the wonderful work Wildlife SOS is doing with the bears and other animals in their centre.

Planet V/s Plastic

In contribution to Earth Week, we, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, conducted a plastic cleaning drive in Bannerghatta Reserve Forest with the assistance of the Karnataka Forest Department on 27th April, 2024. This project was done in collaboration with Friends of Wildlife, an NGO dedicated to wildlife conservation. The team from PTC Ltd, a computer software company, joined us for the event. They made an in-kind contribution of ₹26,150 by providing gloves, trash bags, refreshments, and breakfast to all the participants of the project. A total of 164 members and volunteers from Rotaract Clubs, Friends of Wildlife, and PTC joined us on the drive as we divided into small groups to clean the plastic that had been discarded in the forest. Forest guards, the range forest officer, and the district forest officer also joined us, offering words of encouragement and support. Give Life

We, the Rotaract Club of JP Nagar, successfully hosted an online blood donation awareness session on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, as a part of a mega project 'Give Life', collaborating with 10+ clubs from Sri Lanka RID 3220, Nepal RID 3292 and RaC Basveshwarnagar, RID 3192 . The session aimed to educate the Rotaractors about the importance of blood donation and dispel any myths or misconceptions surrounding it. Key Highlights: The session provided information on the various uses of donated blood and the positive impact it has on patients in need. It addressed the eligibility criteria for blood donation and the simple process involved. There was a discussion on the importance of regular blood donation to maintain adequate blood bank supplies.

Wild Aware

We, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, conducted Wild Aware - A webinar on Wildlife Conservation and Awareness with the speaker from Wildlife SOS on the occasion of Earth Day. The entire session was filled with great insights on wildlife and how we as humans can learn and understand how to prevent man animal conflict, and how we as humans can prevent and control the entirety of human interference with wildlife. We also learnt about the organisation’s conservation projects and rescue efforts of bears, tigers, leopards, elephants and other animals, and the difficulties they face while taking care of their health and wellbeing alongside other concerns. Our members were encouraged to take part in volunteering activities and be involved with their rescue efforts. At the end of the session, the participants of the session discussed few questions in detail with the speaker and ended the day with lots of knowledge on the subject.

Rotaract Retreat 2.0

The Club Service team organised a fun trip to Chikmagaluru from 12th - 14th April, 2024. We started off our journey early in the morning, singing and playing along the way towards our destination. Upon reaching the resort, we spent the rest of the day in leisure. We played cricket, explored the surroundings on bicycles, enjoyed the pool. We ended the day with a crackling bonfire under the stars, sharing stories and laughter. The next day we trekked to the peak of Mullayanagiri, soaking in the breathtaking views. We continued our exploration with an off-roading adventure to the Jhari Falls, and we were in awe of the beautiful waterfalls. The experience of reaching them through a thrilling off-road journey added another layer of fun to the day. As our trip neared its end, we made a final stop at the magnificent Belur temple on the way back to Namma Bengaluru. Throughout these three days, we forged stronger bonds, shared countless laughs, and created memories that will forever be cherished. This trip undoubtedly stands out as a remarkable experience for all of us!

Cultural Connect

Cultural Exchange event was organized on 28th of May 2024 where the Rotaractors of JP Nagar collaborated with the Rotaractors of Rotaract Club of Cinnamon Gardens and Rotaract Club of Battaramulla ,RID 3220, Sri Lanka. This collaboration had gathered over 35 Rotaractors and was more about understanding each other's culture's, history, food, and important locations. Rotaractors of 3220 spoke about the culture, staple food and development of the country. While the Rotaractors from JP Nagar exchanged cultures and food about Namma Bengaluru.

Back Benchers 2.0

Back Benchers is a fundraiser initiative for basic education requirement of school children. The fundraiser was conducted between March 1st to April 30th 2024. On 12th June, 2024, we the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, distributed school kits to Goutham school and Marenahalli school near Devanahalli. 5 volunteers joined for the project. The total expenses of the project was Rs. 28,009/-. Each kit included 6 books, 1 stationary box with pen, pencil, scale, eraser, sharper and chocolate. Overall, we distributed 120 kits consisting 720 books and 120 stationary kit. The smiles on the kids were worth it!

Tax Is Easy

The "Tax is Easy" session was designed to enhance tax literacy by simplifying complex tax concepts. The event provided essential knowledge on tax planning, filing, and compliance, empowering participants to make informed financial decisions. Held online via Zoom from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the session featured expert speakers CA Prateek S. Hegde and CA Rtr. Anarghya Suvin. Both speakers broke down key tax topics in a simplified manner, ensuring that participants, regardless of their financial background, could grasp the concepts. The session included a presentation and an interactive Q&A, allowing attendees to clarify their doubts directly with the experts. The session saw strong participation from club members , marking a successful start to the year's projects. Attendees gained a clearer understanding of tax processes, leaving with the confidence to handle their tax-related responsibilities. This event highlighted the importance of financial literacy, contributing to the personal and professional growth of those involved.

Racjpn Supports India @ Olympics

In alignment with our commitment to celebrate national achievements and foster community spirit, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar (RaCJPN) undertook the PR project "RaCJPN Supports India @ Olympics." This initiative was designed to honor and acknowledge the accomplishments of Indian athletes at the Paris Olympics 2024. Project Overview: • Objective: To create and disseminate congratulatory posters for each Indian athlete who won a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, celebrating their achievements and inspiring national pride. • Activities: ○ Poster Creation: Designed visually appealing and impactful posters to congratulate medal winners, highlighting their achievements and contributions to Indian sports. ○ Public Recognition: Shared the posters across various media platforms to ensure widespread visibility and recognition of the athletes' accomplishments. Outcome: The project successfully showcased RaCJPN’s support for Indian athletes and contributed to a positive national narrative around the Olympics. Through the creation and distribution of congratulatory materials, the initiative not only celebrated individual achievements but also reinforced community support for the athletes representing India on a global stage.

Wizard's Gift

The Wizard’s Gift project aimed to empower differently challenged children through the donation of Braille chess sets. The initiative sought to promote strategic thinking and provide an opportunity for these children to experience the joy and cognitive benefits of playing chess. Following the successful Wizard's Chess Tournament held on the 21st of July, which saw over 30 participants and raised funds for the cause, the Rotaract Clubs collaborated to organize the chess set donation event at the Vinyasa Trust for the Differently Challenged. On the 4th of August, members engaged with the differently abled individuals through music, dance, and interactive chess sessions, creating an inclusive and joyful environment. The donation of Braille chess sets empowered the differently challenged children at the Vinyasa Trust, offering them a unique tool for cognitive development and strategic play. The interactive and heartfelt participation by Rotaractors enriched the experience, making a lasting impact on both the children and the members involved. The event highlighted the importance of inclusivity and the ability to bring joy and learning through community-driven initiatives.

Wizard's Chess Tournament

On August 19, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Ambernath Smart City (RID 3142) to celebrate International Photography Day through the event Fotographia 5.0. This photography competition featured various categories, including Food Photography and Monochrome Photography, allowing members to showcase their creativity. The event was a resounding success, with over 150 entries from Rotaractors across different clubs. We are thrilled to announce that two of our members emerged victorious: @Tvishita won in the Food Photography category, and @Rtr. Kiran Singh won in the Monochrome Photography category. Their achievements highlight the talent within our club and fostered a sense of connection and camaraderie through this international collaboration. Ek Bandhan 18.0

On August 15, 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, in collaboration with the Way to Cause Foundation, Rotaract Club of Pune City (RI District 3131), and Rotaract Club of Falcon Youth (RI District 3192), participated in *Ek Bandhan 18.0* This initiative was a heartfelt effort to honor our soldiers and celebrate their dedication to protecting our nation. The Way to Cause Foundation played a pivotal role by hosting a 78 sq. ft. Indian flag at the Kargil War Memorial at 8:00 AM to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers. In alignment with the upcoming festival of Raksha Bandhan, our club sent 25 Rakhis to be tied to the soldiers, symbolizing our love, respect, and gratitude. Through this project, we aimed to bring together Rotaractors from various clubs and districts to collectively express our appreciation for the Indian Army. It was a proud moment for all involved, fostering a sense of patriotism and community spirit.

On August 31, 2024, Rotaract Club of JP Nagar conducted "Abhaya," an educational event on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) at Karnataka Public School, Sarraki. Over 200 students from classes 8 to 10 participated in interactive quizzes and poster-making activities, designed to engage and educate them on this sensitive topic. In partnership with Maya NGO, which specializes in CSA awareness, we provided comprehensive education on this critical issue. Our team of 15 volunteers, alongside 4 from Maya NGO, facilitated the program effectively. To ensure lasting impact, we donated CSA guidebooks to the school library. The event successfully combined engaging activities with crucial information dissemination, effectively raising awareness about CSA among the student population. Feedback from participants and school administration was overwhelmingly positive, indicating the program's success in achieving its objectives.

Daan Utsav

On October 2nd, 2024, in alignment with the Joy of Giving Week, the Rotaract Club of JP Nagar actively participated in the district’s "Daan Utsav" initiative at Mahaveer Riviera. This city-wide campaign, aimed at promoting sustainable waste management practices, involved setting up collection points for citizens to donate various forms of recyclable and disposable waste, including e-waste, single-use plastics, clothes, books, and other materials. Our club set up a collection station to encourage the local community to adopt better waste segregation habits and create awareness about the importance of repurposing and recycling waste. As part of our club’s contribution, members gathered at the location, not only collecting materials from the community but also bringing recyclable items from their homes and neighbourhoods. The collected items were carefully sorted, with certain materials selected for sale to the organization "Trash to Cash." The funds raised from these sales will be channelled into our club’s upcoming Community Service initiatives, furthering our commitment to social impact. The event saw enthusiastic involvement from club members, as well as positive engagement from the community, who appreciated the informative sessions on waste segregation and recycling. Our participation in Daan Utsav helped reinforce our club's dedication to environmental stewardship and community welfare, with members expressing a strong commitment to supporting similar initiatives in the future. The experience underscored the collective power of Rotaract in driving change and making a tangible difference in society.

Garba Utsav

On October 6th, 2024, members of the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar joined forces with the Rotaract Club of Jayanagar for an exciting evening of Garba at the Vasavi Convention Center, Basavanagudi. The event was an opportunity to celebrate culture, build friendships, and enjoy an evening of spirited dancing and music. The venue came alive as members dressed in traditional attire and joined in the Garba, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The music, rhythmic beats, and collective energy encouraged everyone to bring out their best Garba moves, and the enthusiasm on the dance floor was palpable. Members from both clubs mingled, celebrated, and bonded over the shared joy of dance. Smile Please

On October 8th, 2024, the Rotaract Club of JP Nagar, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Basaveshwaranagar and final-year resident students from Oxford Dental College, organized "Smile Please," a dental screening and treatment camp at Bannerghatta National Park. This impactful initiative focused on providing essential dental care to the forest rangers and park employees, who dedicate their lives to safeguarding the park's ecosystem. Starting from 9 AM, the camp was set up with various stations for dental screenings, consultations, and educational sessions. The Oxford Dental College residents conducted the screenings, identifying common issues such as cavities and gum disease, while also addressing preventative measures. Attendees received guidance on maintaining good oral health practices, with the goal of fostering long-term dental hygiene awareness. The event witnessed a positive turnout, with numerous park employees availing themselves of the free screenings. Many attendees expressed their gratitude for the care and personalized attention provided, especially given the limited access to regular dental services in their line of work. The collaboration with the dedicated student doctors from Oxford Dental College enriched the camp's impact, allowing for high-quality care and personalized guidance. For Rotaractors, "Smile Please" reinforced a sense of purpose, providing an opportunity to give back and raise health awareness in an often-overlooked community. Party In Pink 3.0

Party in Pink 3.0, held on October 20th, 2024, was a dynamic event organized by the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Bangalore Institute of Technology. The purpose of the event was twofold: to raise awareness about breast cancer and to fundraise for cancer patient support, primarily directed to the Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation. The event seamlessly blended fitness with a cause, engaging participants in a high-energy Zumba session to promote health and social awareness. The Zumba session, the highlight of the event, was led by certified instructors ZINs Deeksha Kotiyan, G V Srilakshmi, and Feelics Kipson. Each instructor brought their unique energy and style, creating a vibrant atmosphere that encouraged all participants to actively engage. The Zumba routine was a blend of vigorous moves set to upbeat music, transforming the venue into a lively space filled with enthusiastic participants. It was not only a fitness activity but also an empowering experience, showcasing how movement can connect people to a cause. The information provided by Dr. Mouli gave participants a strong understanding of breast cancer's early warning signs, empowering them to take charge of their health and spread awareness within their own circles. Through registrations and generous donations, we successfully raised INR 2 lakhs, which will be donated to the Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation to support their cancer patient initiatives. Lord Of Strings 3.0

On 20th October 2024, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar participated in Lord of the Strings 3.0, a badminton tournament hosted by the Rotaract Clubs of Bengaluru United and BMSCE. The event took place at BMS College of Engineering and attracted a large number of participants and spectators, all united by their love for badminton. The tournament featured exciting matches across various categories, allowing participants to showcase their badminton skills in a competitive yet friendly environment. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as teams battled it out, displaying great sportsmanship and determination. Ride - Delhi Dekho To Ri District 3011

Rtr. Rtn. Anirudh Kulkarni from Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar participated in the RIDE - Delhi Dekho program, a Multi-District Youth Exchange hosted by RI District 3011. On 14th December 2024, the Rotaract Club of JP Nagar, in collaboration with KPMG CSR, hosted a heartwarming Christmas Carnival at Bosco Mane, Chamrajpete. The event aimed to spread festive cheer among the 80 children residing at the center through a series of delightful activities. The day began with a captivating magic show that left the children in awe, setting the tone for a fun-filled afternoon. The children then enthusiastically participated in decorating a Christmas tree, bringing it to life with ornaments, lights, and their infectious energy. A variety of engaging activities followed, including games, where the kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest. The Pickleball Tournament was successfully conducted on 11th Jan 2025 at DHI SPORTS, Bannerghatta Road. Organized by the Club Service Team, the event witnessed active participation from members, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fellowship. With paddles provided and the venue set for a high-energy morning, the tournament saw a fantastic response, with several members registering and showing up in their best sporting spirit. Rotasia 2025 – Daman & Silvassa

Rotasia 2025, the most anticipated annual gathering of Rotaractors and Rotarians, was held in the picturesque town of Silvassa, Daman. This grand four-day event brought together passionate Rotaractors from across the country, fostering fellowship, cultural exchange, and leadership growth. Our club was proudly represented by three dedicated members, who experienced the vibrancy and energy that defines Rotasia. From engaging district presentations to inspiring leadership sessions, the event was packed with moments that strengthened our commitment to the movement. One of the standout experiences was the House of DRRs Meet, where Rotaract leaders brainstormed ideas and discussed the future of Rotaract at the district and national levels. The cultural performances were another highlight, celebrating India’s rich heritage and diversity through mesmerizing dance and musical acts. A major attraction was the Mr. & Mrs. Rotasia contest, where participants showcased their talent, confidence, and charisma. The bidding for Rotasia 2026 was an exciting moment, filled with anticipation as districts vied for the opportunity to host the next edition. The event concluded with a guided tour of Daman, allowing participants to explore the scenic coastal beauty and unwind after an eventful gathering. Mandaragiri Hills Ride

On 16th March 2025, members of Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar embarked on an exhilarating bike and car ride to Mandaragiri Hills, blending adventure, scenic beauty, and fellowship. The ride kicked off at 6:00 AM from JP Nagar Metro Station, with participants cruising through the serene morning roads. A quick breakfast stop en route fueled the excitement before reaching Mandaragiri Hills by 9:00 AM. The group enjoyed a scenic trek to the top, soaking in breathtaking panoramic views, exploring the famous Jain temple, and capturing countless memories along the way. The event fostered team bonding, camaraderie, and a shared love for travel and adventure. After a refreshing and fun-filled day, the riders began their journey back to Bangalore, concluding the event. The ride was a perfect blend of thrill, nature, and fellowship, making it a memorable experience for all participants!

Nodi Namma Ooru - Hosting Ri District 3011

On March 1st, 2025, the Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar had the honor of hosting fellow Rotaractors from across the country as part of Nodi Namma Ooru, a District International Service initiative under the Rotaract Inter District Exchange (RIDE) for the Rotary Year 2024-25. As hosts, our club welcomed three Rotaractors from RI District 3011 and one from RI District 3040 for an immersive experience in our city. The day began early with a warm reception and a classic Bangalore-style breakfast run to the iconic Vidyarthi Bhavan. Conversations over crispy dosas and hot filter coffee set the tone for a memorable day ahead. Following breakfast, we explored the historic and cultural landmarks of Bengaluru—Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park—where our guests got to witness the charm and political significance of our state’s capital. Our members accompanied them throughout, sharing stories, local trivia, and building strong inter-district connections. The day concluded on a high note with a vibrant district-hosted dinner that brought together RIDE participants, club members, and the District Rotaract Representative Rtn. Rtr. Abhay Lohia. The evening was filled with music, laughter, dance, and fellowship, truly embodying the spirit of Rotaract across boundaries. Nodi Namma Ooru was a day of meaningful exchanges, heartfelt hospitality, and new friendships—one that truly showcased the essence of cultural sharing and camaraderie among Rotaractors from diverse backgrounds. Charche With Chikmath

The Rotaract Club of Bangalore JP Nagar hosted a special interactive session “Charche with Chikmath”, aimed at facilitating a focused dialogue between the club members and the District Rotaract Representative Elect (DRRE) for RY 2024–25, Rtr. PHF Karthik Chikmath. The upcoming Rotary year 2025-26 marks a significant milestone for the club—being the home club of the DRR—the session was designed to strengthen our engagement with the incoming district leadership and provide a space for open conversation. The interaction allowed club members to get firsthand insights into the district’s evolving vision, leadership plans, and key focus areas for the upcoming Rotary year.
