Samyati 2.0: A Three-Day Event Report (13th-15th September)
Day 1: 13th September
The first day of Samyati 2.0 kicked off at 8:00 AM, with all delegates assembling at the designated pickup point. By 8:45 AM, they were warmly welcomed at Pune Station and taken for breakfast at Vohuman Café at 9:15 AM. The café provided a casual and relaxed atmosphere, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.
At 9:45 AM, the delegates’ accommodation was arranged, giving them some time to settle in. By 11:00 AM, they were ready for a day of exploration, hosted by RCP Warje, represented by Rtr. Rudra Barate.
The first stop was the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, where the group arrived at 12:00 PM. The museum offered a fascinating glimpse into Pune’s cultural heritage. Afterward, lunch was held at Ganraj Hotel, followed by a shopping tour from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The group visited several prominent locations, including Vishrambaug Wada, Laxmi Road, Mandai, Dagdusheth, and Lal Mahal, immersing themselves in Pune’s heritage and daily life.
At 5:30 PM, they paused for high tea, with the location to be confirmed. The group then explored the Pataleshwar Caves at 6:15 PM, with RCP Heritage, led by Rtr. Ishita Chaubal.
The day concluded with the group returning to their accommodation at 7:00 PM to freshen up. At 7:30 PM, they participated in a Ganapati Aarti, connecting them with the local spiritual traditions. The evening ended with a felicitation ceremony at Largos Pizzeria, from 8:10 PM to 10:00 PM, honoring R.I.D.E. The delegates capped the night by exploring Pune’s nightlife until 1:00 AM.
Day 2: 14th September
Day 2 began with a traditional breakfast at 8:30 AM at Pune Misal House, located near Shaniwarwada in the heart of Old Pune. Delegates enjoyed authentic local cuisine, surrounded by Pune’s historical charm. The atmosphere was vibrant as participants dressed in traditional attire, such as sarees, lehengas, and kurtas, to embrace the cultural significance of the event. The breakfast was hosted by RCP Warje, represented by Rtr. Manas Jade and Rtr. Divya Mahajan, along with RCP Heritage, led by Rtr. Tejaswi Bharambe and Rtr. Manasi Phatak.
At 10:00 AM, the district agenda commenced at STIMI, engaging the participants in discussions and activities until 11:30 AM. This was followed by a visit to the revered 5 Manache Ganapati from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, where the delegates explored the religious and cultural significance of Pune’s prominent temples.
At 2:00 PM, the group enjoyed a potluck lunch featuring authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, offering a delightful culinary experience of local flavors. The afternoon provided a break for rest from 5:00 PM until the evening festivities.
The day’s activities concluded with a Gala Dinner (District Dinner), which continued until 11:30 PM. The dinner was an opportunity for lively conversations and a memorable shared meal. The group returned to their accommodation at 12:00 AM to rest and prepare for the final day.
Day 3: 15th September
The final day of Samyati 2.0 started early with delegates packing their bags and preparing for departure. At 8:30 AM, everyone was ready at the Host Club Residence, ensuring they had all their belongings in order.
By 9:30 AM, the group visited the Jet Museum, where they explored aviation history, gaining a unique cultural experience. This was followed by brunch at 12:00 PM at Tealogy Café in Viman Nagar, providing a relaxed environment for reflection on the past two days.
At 2:00 PM, the delegates departed for Lohegaon Airport, concluding their memorable visit to Pune. The event was a success, with delegates leaving with fond memories of the city, its culture, and the camaraderie shared with fellow Rotaractors.
