Shabdha Sampattu
The Rotaract Club of Bangalore Jayanagar, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of JNC, hosted an engaging online event, “Shabdha Sampattu,” on November 30, 2024, via Instagram, to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava. This session was designed specifically to engage participants outside of Bangalore and Karnataka, introducing them to commonly used Kannada words for everyday communication.
The event utilized an interactive format, where participants were given a specific theme for each session. Based on this theme, attendees could choose words related to it, learning their meanings, pronunciations, and contextual usage. This approach not only encouraged active participation but also allowed participants to customize their learning experience, making the session both educational and enjoyable.
The session was well-received by participants, many of whom expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn Kannada in a fun and engaging way. The interactive nature of the event helped bridge the gap for those unfamiliar with the language, creating a sense of connection and fostering appreciation for Kannada.
By focusing on practical, theme-based vocabulary, Shabdha Sampattu effectively helped participants deepen their understanding of Kannada and its relevance in daily conversations. The event went beyond language learning, promoting cultural awareness and strengthening ties to Kannada heritage. In conclusion, the initiative was a great success, providing an enjoyable and informative experience while celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava.
