Buddy Initiative

We are a 80+ member club and when the number becomes more for a community based club, the connection and personal interaction among members becomes very less. And to increase the bond, interaction and to make the members feel involved and heard, rotary club of Koramangala came up with an initiative of buddy system. Here we have our members from our club, who are active and volunteer to become buddies for atleast 3-4 members of the club. They individually connect with their buddies atleast once a week and keep them informed about the different projects happening in the club, involve them in the project planning and execution, get project ideas from them and also to make their buddies active in the club. The interaction would not be limited only to Rotaract, they connect with their buddies on personal level as well and try to understand them better.

We went to Rock beach🏝️, had lunch, saw a temple, and had a club picture shoot. We made our way back to the villa in the evening, where we relaxed by the pool and ate dinner. We surprised a member of our club on her birthday as a token of our appreciation. Day 02: As we checked out of the villa, we said our goodbyes to the owner and personnel of each villa. At the end of our club tour, we went to the French colony, had scrumptious lunch, and went boating 🛶. Eco Kagaaz: Phase Ii

A sustainability initiative empowering young minds by recycling paper waste and using the proceeds to provide educational aid to children in need. Funds Raised: ₹ 1350/- (from recycling 110kg of paper waste) 🏵 Event Flow 🏵 👥 Initial Announcement 🔊 The second paper recycling drive was launched as part of our sustainability goals and announced on Charter Day in November. This initiative aimed to: 1. Educate and empower young minds about sustainable living. 2. Promote eco-conscious habits by involving pre-schoolers in waste reduction. 3. Demonstrate environmental responsibility through community participation. The collaboration with Aynoiz International Pre-school fostered a culture of sustainability, ensuring the next generation understands the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling for a greener planet. 👥 Collection Day 📦 On 14th December, the event took a significant step forward as participants gathered at the pre-school in Whitefield. Pre-schoolers, dubbed the "sustainable warriors," showcased their dedication by contributing paper waste accumulated over weeks. Club members actively engaged with them, discussing the importance of recycling while organizing and weighing the collected materials. The final collection amounted to 110 kg. This tangible effort highlighted how even small actions can lead to significant environmental benefits. The paper was then transported to a recycling center for processing. 👥 Recycling and Fundraising ♻ The collected paper waste was recycled, generating ₹ 1350/-. These proceeds were invested in purchasing eco-friendly educational materials such as notebooks for underprivileged children. This cycle of recycling and repurposing waste into resources emphasized the circular economy, showcasing the impact of sustainable practices when paired with social responsibility. 👥 Impact Assessment 📝 The event successfully combined environmental and social goals: 1. Environmental Impact: - Diverted 110kg of paper waste from landfills, reducing carbon emissions and conserving natural resources. - Inspired young minds to adopt sustainable habits and practices. 2. Social Impact: - Provided essential educational aid to underprivileged children, enabling their academic growth. - Strengthened community bonds through collective participation. The initiative underscored the significance of transforming waste into value, making it a powerful example of sustainable development in action. Conclusion 📚 The paper recycling drive went beyond being an event—it became a movement for sustainability. By empowering pre-schoolers as "green warriors" and raising funds for a noble cause, it demonstrated how small, collective efforts can create meaningful change. This project serves as a reminder that sustainability and social empowerment are deeply interconnected, paving the way for future initiatives that integrate eco-consciousness with community up-liftment.

Rotaract District 3191 organized Project SURAKSHA, an initiative by NGO Maya, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Koramangala. The project aimed to create awareness among children about safe and unsafe touch✋❌, personal safety🧠⚠, and related topics. The session was conducted at Government Urdu and English model primary school Padarayanapura, where over 85+ students 👧🏻👦🏻 actively participated. The interactive approach made the session engaging, allowing children to learn valuable lessons about self-protection and understanding boundaries. This initiative reflects the commitment of Rotaract Clubs and NGO Maya to promoting child safety and equipping the younger generation with essential life skills.✨ We would also like to thank all the members for their participation and presence making this project a special one .😇 Happy Rotaraction! 😊
