Project Elevate- Week 5
Project Elevate - Week 5 was conducted on 21st February 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at Government Model Primary School, JP Nagar. As part of this year-long initiative under the Basic Education and Literacy focus area, this session aimed to educate 3rd to 7th-grade students on essential topics, including environmental awareness, nutrition, hygiene, and sanitation.
The session began with an engaging discussion on environmental awareness, where students learned about the impact of pollution, the importance of waste management, and simple ways to protect nature, such as tree planting and reducing plastic use. Moving on to nutrition, volunteers explained the role of a balanced diet in maintaining good health, emphasizing the importance of incorporating fruits, vegetables, and proteins into daily meals. The topic of hygiene and sanitation was also covered, highlighting fundamental practices like proper handwashing techniques, oral hygiene, and the importance of keeping their surroundings clean to prevent diseases.
To ensure an interactive learning experience, the session incorporated real-life examples, visual aids, and engaging activities that encouraged student participation. The young learners eagerly asked questions, shared their thoughts, and demonstrated a keen interest in adopting healthier habits.
Through Project Elevate, we continue to empower young minds with essential knowledge and practical skills that contribute to their well-being and overall development. Each session brings us closer to our goal of fostering awareness, instilling good habits, and shaping a responsible generation that prioritizes education, health, and environmental consciousness.
